Pay£17.13 – £26.31 an hour (from £33,400 a year), depending on experience
We're looking for an experienced Carpenter/Joiner to join our team on a permanent basis. You'll work across a range of residential renovation and fit-out projects — kitchens, first and second fix, bespoke joinery and flooring — reporting to our site director.
Main duties
- First and second fix carpentry: stud walls, door linings, hanging doors, skirting, architrave and staircases
- Installing fitted kitchens: base and wall units, worktops, panels and plinths
- Building and fitting bespoke joinery such as shelving, boxing-in and storage
- Laying laminate and engineered timber flooring
- Reading drawings and measuring, marking out and cutting accurately
- Working safely on site, keeping tools and work areas tidy, and following risk assessments
What you'll need
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery, or equivalent
- At least 2 to 3 years' experience as a carpenter/joiner in residential work
- Able to use hand and power tools safely and work to fine tolerances
- Valid CSCS card (or able to obtain one before starting on site)
- Good spoken and written English
